Tystrup-Bavelse Lakes
Today the area around the Tystrup-Bavelse Lakes is preserved and part of it is owned by the state - including Hørhaven and Kongskilde Friluftsgård.

Ravnstrup Lake Nature Reserve
Ravnstrup Lake covers about ten hectares. The lake was purchased by the Bird Protection Foundation/the Danish Ornithological Association in 1983.

Holmegaard Moor
There are only 27 hectares left of the original moor. The peat has been dug up and used to fuel the ovens at Holmegaard Glass Works, as well as being used by the local population.
