Stevns Klint - UNESCO World Heritage
Stevns Klint is UNESCO World Heritage with dramatic scenery, traces from the age of the dinosaurs and memorable coastal experiences for curious children and adults.

Holtug Chalk Quarry
Until 1972, Holtug Chalk Quarry, was active. In 1991 the pit was sold to the state who made it into a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

Boesdal Quarry
Boesdal Quarry was closed in the late 70s and Stevns municipality later took over ownership. In 2010, a group of local fire souls of Stevns to utilize the area better and simultaneously provide maintenance and expansion of facilities such as toilets and parking.

"Water tower" in Store Heddinge
You will find the Water Tower from 1911, appearing like a town gate, at the end of Munkegade. The tower was built of chalk from Stevns Cliffs, but with a base of red bricks. going through the gate, you enter "Munkevaenget", a small town park dating from the late 19th century.

Hoejerup Old Church
The church was built by a boater in distress who promised to build a chapel if he was saved. The church is located on the 30 m. high cliff.

Højerup New Church
The church was built of chalk-stone from the cliffs of Stevns Klint. The apse wal, however, has got layers of flint built in, thus imitating the cliffs' geological structure.

Varpelev Church
The church is located just east of Tryggevaelde river valley and at the highest point in the city and among the older chalk churches in the municipality.

Stroeby Church
The church is made up of chancel, built of limestone ashlars, and additions built in late gothic style. In the church fresco painted geometrical ornaments and beautiful representations of the passion from about 1300 Altar piece from the beginning of 17th century.

Harlev Church
Church was built between 1175-1275 and is the largest and the best preserved of the younger chalk's churches in the municipality.

Skt. Katharina Church
This unique market town church was built in limestone from Stevns cliff around 1200 with octagonal nave and rectangular choir. Probably with the king as builder. Later, terraced tower and porch to the south.
