Forest outings in the wintertime
When the leaves fall from the trees, the forest becomes naked and some days covered with snow, a lot of wonderful things emerge in the forest floor that you can look at, talk about and gather! Here are some of the forests in South Zealand & Møn you can visit.

A picnic with the whole family
Take the family on a “foraging trip” in the woods, where you can collect leaves, cones, chestnuts and much more for your own chestnut zoo. But remember, there should be enough for everyone, so have a look here to see how much you can collect.

Coastal forest Siberia
If you enjoy both forest and beach, you'll find the best of both at Sibirien in Faxe Ladeplads, where the peaceful forest stretches right along the shoreline.

Svenskekløften
In Hesede Forest, you will find a very different and “dramatic” woodland area, where a high, steep ravine of 30–35 meters suddenly opens up in the middle of the forest.

Herlufsholm Park
Herlufsholm Park is beautifully situated down to Susåen. There is access from sunrise to sunset and it is possible to park at the parking lot at the school.

Gjorslev Beech forest
Gjorslev Bøgeskov belongs Gjorslev estate. Inside the forest is Mill Island, where there is an abundance of bird life. Especially in spring and autumn there are many ducks, mergansers and geese. In summer, the gray moorhen, mute swan, mallard, heron and gray geese dinary guests.
