The small village of Glumsø is not far from Ringsted. Surrounded by green areas and with a beautiful lake, it is connected to the outside world via the railway network.

Glumsø is known for Denmark’s smallest beach, established by a group of enthusiasts after years of planning. Glumsø is called “The Green Heart of Zealand” because it is surrounded by wonderful nature, close to the Tystrup-Bavelse lakes and, not least, because the area is green, lush and close to the forest and idyllic fields.
Glumsø Kirke contains architectural elements from the Romanesque and Gothic periods. Inside, you can see, among other things, a richly decorated altarpiece, a granite baptismal font and a pulpit associated with Abel Schrøder’s workshop.
Danish Bicycle and Moped Museum is a collaboration between Dansk Bicycle Museum Friends and Sjællands Veteranknallert club. It is a museum that has the largest collection of two-wheeled vehicles in Scandinavia.

Café Rejseladen is a very special café in Glumsø. Only volunteers work here, which is why it is only open a few days a week. Check out their website to see the updated opening hours. The food is homely and good.
The restaurant at Fuglebjerg Kro focuses on Danish cuisine and dishes prepared with local ingredients. The menu includes lunch dishes, main courses, desserts and children's meals.
