Tystrup-Bavelse Lakes
Today the area around the Tystrup-Bavelse Lakes is preserved and part of it is owned by the state - including Hørhaven and Kongskilde Friluftsgård.

Holmegaard Moor
There are only 27 hectares left of the original moor. The peat has been dug up and used to fuel the ovens at Holmegaard Glass Works, as well as being used by the local population.

Herlufsholm Pinetum
Collection of rare fir and pine trees from all over the world. Established 1890-1920. The area had over 100 species of fir and pine. It was originally aimed at nursery use, but also as an experimental area to find suitable trees for forestry.

Enø Overdrev
Enø Overdrev is a beautiful nature area located on the southern part of Enø. The area was protected in 1953 to preserve the unspoilt and beautiful nature.

Ydernæs close to Næstved
Ydernæs offers peaceful nature, historic waterways and scenic surroundings where the lake and Evengrøften still shape the landscape today.

Kristiansholm Plantation
Fuglebjerg Municipality has a well-situated camp site for several tents. Immediately behind the coastline is an old gravel pit, now accommodating a couple of site-huts, camp site, fire place with wood and play ground equipment.

Fruens plantation
Fruens plantation was protected in 1940 and is owned by Næstved Municipality. The forest at Fruens plantation is the last untouched part of Denmark's largest hill and is a beautiful green area close to the center of Næstved.

Herlufsholm Forest
Right next to Næstved Centrum you will find Herlufsholmskoven. The forest is protected as an “untouched” forest, which means that the forest is allowed to develop organically and that felled trees must remain in place.
