Cultural experiences in Næstved

Næstved Art Town is an art project throughout Næstved, created by international artists who normally wouldn’t come to the city.

The boarding school was established in 1565 by Herluf Trolle and his wife Birgitte Goeye for 'the sons of noble and other honest men'. They were themselves childless. Herlufsholm was originally founded in 1135 as a monastery for Benedictine monks.

The medieval building, Helligåndshuset - "House of the Holy Spirit" - served in former times as a combined hospital, old people's home and poorhouse.

The art association for Næstved and the surrounding area was created 1932. Today it numbers around 400 members. In the past few years, the association has experienced an increased influx of members.

Danish Bicycle and Moped Museum is a collaboration between Dansk Bicycle Museum Friends and Sjællands Veteranknallert club. It is a museum that has the largest collection of two-wheeled vehicles in Scandinavia.

Being Southern Zealand’s biggest cultural center with venues of their own, graphic museum, the municipal theater, Center for Artistic Talent Development and Cultural Center for Children’s Workshops Grønnegades Kaserne Kulturcenter is the cultural heart of Næstved Municipality.

We are South Zealand’s most attractive venue for big experiences. Here you can enjoy major LIVE concerts, national team matches, and shows – and you can take part in sports such as badminton, handball, and e-sports.

On a walk along the new harbour promenade in Næstved, Næstved Harbour Promenade Sculpture Park offers an exciting encounter between contemporary art, outdoor life, and nature experiences.

At Gallerie Dragehøj you will experience exhibitions of modern art. The gallery has changing exhibitions, and occasionally arranges evening events in collaboration with the National University or by own initiative. Such as art lectures, lyric or music evenings.

Karrebæksminde Bridge, which is called the Grasshopper Bridge. Is a characteristic green folding bridge that connects Karrebæksminde and Enø. The bridge weighs 200 tons, and consists of 14.8 tons of old horseshoes and 5 tons of axle steel.

Bio Naestved is located right in the center of Næstved only a short distance from the city's restaurants. There is pay parking spaces right outside the door and free parking 2 minutes walking distance from Bio Naestved.

Nordisk Film Cinema Naestved has six digital halls with room for up to 854 guests and offers the best in light, sound and image.
