Stage 1 Næstved to Præstø, 32 km

Stage 1 takes you from Næstved to Præstø via Regional Route 54. If you’re up for cycling a few extra kilometres on the first day, you can begin with a small detour past the Rococo-style Gavnø Castle (12 km). On the way to Præstø you pass the historic Rønnebæksholm Estate, which today functions as an art gallery. You end your journey in the cosy market town of Præstø. Take a stroll along the cobbled streets or relax with a good glass of wine at the harbour before checking in at Hotel Frederiksminde, where you can enjoy the Michelin restaurant’s exquisite dining experience. Alternatively, you can spend the night at the romantic Jungshoved Præstegård vicarage, which is just 9 km from Præstø.
