Churches and frescoes on Møn
The churches on Møn are plentiful, beautiful and diverse – and in a unique highlight, the unknown Elmelunde Master has decorated several of the churches with the most impressive frescoes. You will find the famous frescoes in Elmelunde, Keldby and Fanefjord Church.

Elmelunde church
It is probably Møn's oldest church. Started approx. year 1080.

Fanefjord church
The church is a white brick church. The triumphal's beautiful decorations date from the 14th century.

Keldby church
Keldby Church is built in bricks. The church tower is from the Gothic period, as is the altarpiece. The pulpit can be dated through inscription on the sound sky back to 1586. The choir and ship are from the first part of the 13th century

Magleby church at Møn
Romanesque church built in the year 1200. It has a very wide west tower, whose upper logging has been twin. The baptismal font is the original one. The altarpiece is from 1606. The pulpit is from the year 1613.

Nyord church
Nyord church was built in the 1850s from materials that the citizens of Nyord collected themselves. The church is octagonal. The cemetery is secluded on the NE side of the island, approx. 1.5 km from the church.

Stege church
St. Hans church in Stege is dedicated to either John the Baptist or John the Evangelist, it is not known with certainty.

Damsholte church
Damsholte church forms a long square room with two five-sided extensions. The church was built in the year 1743. From around 1800 there is a grave chapel for the owners of the church and Marienborg, the family LaCalmette.

Bogø church
Medieval long house, originally a flat log house, but in the 16th century covered with 4 vaults. The altarpiece panel dates from 1661 with wood carvings. The baptismal font is an old sacrificial stone with sun signs.
