Café Udsigten

Feeling hungry or just in need of a snack or a cup of coffee? Head over to Café Udsigten. The simple, delicious menu features a selection of sandwiches, cakes, and coffee. The name “Udsigten” (which means “The View”) is no coincidence – from both inside the café and the terrace, you can enjoy your meal with breathtaking views over the Faxe Limestone Quarry, the largest of its kind in Europe, which was once a massive coral reef.

A Truly Special Place

Danhostel Faxe is a truly special hostel – warm-hearted and open-minded. You’re welcome just as you are, and there’s room for everyone. The staff is a perfect example of this. Many of them live with various diagnoses such as autism or developmental disabilities, which present challenges in daily life. But at Danhostel Faxe, they thrive in interaction with guests and the many daily tasks that come with running a hostel. You’ll hear great stories over breakfast, and the atmosphere is relaxed and homely. There’s no stress here – things are allowed to take time, and coziness is never compromised.
