If you love flowers, enjoy freshly dug potatoes or want to embrace autumn with colourful and unusual pumpkins, the pick-your-own field in Skibinge, just outside Præstø, is well worth a visit. The concept is simple. From mid-April to mid-November, the field is open every day on a self-service basis. Follow the signs, choose what you'd like, pick your own bouquet, dig up fresh potatoes or select your favourite pumpkins. Payment is easy by MobilePay or cash.

What began as a small idea in 2017 has grown into a popular seasonal attraction. Throughout the season, you'll find up to 14 different flower varieties, including tulips, alliums, foxtail lilies, irises, peonies, lilies, roses, snapdragons, cornflowers, zinnias, gladioli, sunflowers, dahlias and chrysanthemums.

You can also dig your own potatoes straight from the field – it doesn't get much fresher than that. In addition, the field grows edible flowers and, quite uniquely, edible roses, which are only found in a handful of places in Denmark. Their beautiful colours and delicate flavours make them perfect for salads, desserts and drinks.

As autumn arrives, the field fills with pumpkins of every shape, size and colour. Whether you're looking for decorative pumpkins or tasty Hokkaido squash for soups, bread, purées or other seasonal dishes, there's something for everyone.

The pick-your-own field is open daily from around mid-April to mid-November and welcomes visitors throughout the season.
