Lekkende Dyrehave is an old park in the northern part of Hov-forest. The area has the character of open areas alternating with forest islets and old single trees and has since 1996 been laid out as untouched forest.

The forest lies next to the distinctive tunnel valley, the Ugledige tunnel valley with Mern Å, Lekkende and Ugledige lakes and is located in a beautiful hilly terrain.

Lekkende Dyrehave was previously a classic park for the estate.

Therefore, in many places the forest is quite open with large broad-crowned oaks and beech trees. This is also the basis for the greatest natural values in the forest.

The forest is privately owned and there is therefore only access on roads and paths.
