The Green Ring

Along the way, you can listen to birdsong in the young forests, spot grazing cattle in the meadows, explore tranquil ponds and streams, or relax beneath the shade of ancient oaks. There are plenty of benches, natural playgrounds, and peaceful spots to enjoy your lunch in nature.

You’ll also find outdoor art, information boards sharing stories about the landscape and local history – and with a bit of luck, you might spot a squirrel, a red kite, or even a group of deer.

Næstved Barracks – the perfect starting point close to the city
Drive to Kasernevej 1, 4700 Næstved. Several parking spaces are available.

Fruens Plantage – stroll beneath old beech trees in an atmospheric forest
Navigate to Ny Præstøvej 304, 4700 Næstved.

Even Skov – peaceful nature with varied terrain
Head to Karrebæksvej 80, 4700 Næstved. You can park by Lille Næstved Skole.

The Climate Forest by Stenlængegård – a new forest focused on biodiversity and climate
