Egnsteatret in Vordingborg

In South Zealand, you’ll find the Regional Theatre in Vordingborg Municipality. A vibrant hub for performing arts and community with events year-round for children, young people and adults.

The Regional Theatre’s programme varies greatly from year to year, as we collaborate with over 13 different local performing arts companies and artists.

Our repertoire ranges from the intimate to the monumental – from experimental and sensory performances to visually overwhelming productions. There is something for young people, for locals, and for visitors looking for something special. Common to all is the high artistic quality and an uncompromising approach to supporting and exploring the performing arts. Performing arts with courage, where innovation always has its place.

We are based in the centre of Vordingborg at the performing arts centre Pavillon K and also present performances at Vordingborg Teater and other locations throughout the municipality.

Every other year (odd-numbered years), we organise the international performing arts festival WAVES in Vordingborg city, featuring around 60 performances in streets, alleys, schools, Pavillon K and Vordingborg Teater. The street programme is free. Read more about WAVES here – link to the WAVES page.

You can always find our current performances and events on our website.
